Blueberry Dumplings

Blueberry Dumplings with Custard

h2. Ingredients.

h3. Dumplings

* 3/4 cups of Self Raising Flour
* 1 dessert spoon (1/2 Tablespoon) of Treacle
* 1 dessert spoon of butter (melted)
* 1/4 cup of milk

h3. Sauce

* 1 punnet of blueberries
* about 1 cup of water
* 1 Tablespoon of caster sugar

h2. Method.

h3. Dumplings

Mix the flour, treacle and butter together until well combined.
Add the milk and stir through with a butter knife until combined, then knead lightly.
Roll out into a cylinder about 1 inch in diameter and then cut into 14 pieces.
Roll each piece into a ball.

h3. Sauce

Wash and cut in half all the blueberries.
Place in a medium saucepan with the water and sugar. Bring to the boil.

Add the dumplings and then lower to a simmer. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.

Serve with cold pouring custard.
