Blueberry Dumplings
Ingredients.
Dumplings
- 3/4 cups of Self Raising Flour
- 1 dessert spoon (1/2 Tablespoon) of Treacle
- 1 dessert spoon of butter (melted)
- 1/4 cup of milk
Sauce
- 1 punnet of blueberries
- about 1 cup of water
- 1 Tablespoon of caster sugar
Method.
Dumplings
Mix the flour, treacle and butter together until well combined.
Add the milk and stir through with a butter knife until combined, then knead lightly.
Roll out into a cylinder about 1 inch in diameter and then cut into 14 pieces.
Roll each piece into a ball.
Sauce
Wash and cut in half all the blueberries.
Place in a medium saucepan with the water and sugar. Bring to the boil.
Add the dumplings and then lower to a simmer. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
Serve with cold pouring custard.
